Size - mortar is 4.5 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches high. The pestle is 2.75 inches high.
This prehistoric stone mortar and pestle set has been dated to c. 1500 BC. and is in excellent condition. The set comes from the Wagi Valley in the remote Highlands region of PNG. It has been in a private collection since the 1960s, when the current owner purchased it from a collector.
